On Sunday, November 24, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a tragic accident occurred in the
Cyungo Sector of Rulindo District along the Gicumbi-Base road. The accident involved a Coaster
bus carrying 28 members of the FPR-Inkotanyi who were traveling to attend a meeting at the
Northern Province office.
We are deeply saddened to report that one life was lost in this unfortunate incident.
Additionally, four individuals sustained serious injuries, while others suffered minor injuries.
The injured were promptly attended to by medical teams and received care at Kinihira,
Byumba, King Faisal, and CHUK hospitals.
The FPR-Inkotanyi extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family for their
immeasurable loss. We also express our deepest sympathies and solidarity with all those
affected by this tragedy.
