ELECTION SCHEDULE FOR RPF COMMITTEES FROM VILLAGE LEVEL TO PROVINCIAL LEVEL AND KIGALI CITY

Explanatory Note

According to the Constitution of the FPR-Inkotanyi, its governing bodies are elected for a five-year term.

The term of office for the FPR-Inkotanyi Board commenced in June 2019 and ended in June 2024. However, due to the elections of the President of the Republic and the National Assembly, the FPR-Inkotanyi Board elections have been postponed in December 2024 to March 2025.

Prior to the elections, the FPR-Inkotanyi officials to the Village level, will first discuss local issues and the role of the Members in addressing them, as well as receive training in preparation for the elections in the FPR-Inkotanyi Bodies.

Election Categories

The elections will be conducted across three categories (3):

Election of the FPR-Inkotanyi Executive Committee, spanning from the Village level up to the Provincial level and the City of Kigali;
Elections for the Youth League and the Women’s League from the Village to the National level.
