RPF members in Gasabo sectors commit to accelerate development

 

Members of RPF Inkotanyi in the three sectors of Kimihurura, Gikomero and Kimironko held meetings on Sunday during which they reiterated their commitment to accelerate the country’s development starting right from their respective communities.

In Kimihurura, the general assembly was attended by an overwhelming 5,000 party members, and was attended by among others, Stephen Rwamulangwa, the Chairman of RPF Inkotanyi at the district level, who presented to the gathering the different achievements that have been registered, but hastened to add that there was still a long way to go.

During the same meeting, RPF senior cadre Denys Polisi gave a talk on the ideology of RPF and the values that have characterized it for the nearly three decades of its existence, which he said is one sure vehicle of getting Rwandans where they deserve to be, in terms of development.

He however told them that this can only be achieved with the participation of everyone, starting from the grassroots level.

They also took the opportunity to celebrate the achievements registered through Ubusabane.

In Gikomero sector, over 1000 members in an event that was presided over by the RPF Inkotanyi Commissioner at the district level in charge of economic affairs, Raymond Mberabahizi, among others.

The highlight of this meeting was the donation of 10 cows by RPF members to the different deserving families in the sector, under the Gir’Inka programme, an initiative championed by the RPF Chairman at national level, H.E President Paul Kagame.

The programme aims at ensuring that all families in the countries are given a cow as a way of stimulating their welfare, through boosting nutrition and the economic benefits that come with a cow.

In Gikomero, 126 new members of the party were sworn in.

Meanwhile, in Kimironko Sector, the women league of RPF Inkotanyi held their assembly and committed to play an active role towards the development of the country either through the women structures, or other channels right from the grassroots to the national level.

The women discussed at length the nationwide program dubbed Kora Wigire, a nationwide programme aimed at mainstreaming women and the youth in different economic activities.


The meeting also resolved that women in the sector will henceforth actively participate in the different socio-economic programmes like Akagoroba k’Ababyeyi and maintaining hygiene in their communities.
