July 12, 2017 - The Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi ) today announced that RPF campaign rallies would begin on 14 July, and take the RPF candidate, His Excellency President Paul Kagame, to each of Rwanda’s 30 districts during the designated three-week campaign period.
Francois Ngarambe - RPF Secretary General and Wellars Gasamagera – RPF commissioner and campaign spokesperson, addressed press at the RPF campaign media center in Kacyiru.
Mr Ngarambe said:
“The RPF Chairman, President Paul Kagame, will meet with Rwandans in every district to witness the progress made and hear the challenges citizens face. We look forward to continue to working together with all Rwandans to find solutions faster through the new RPF manifesto. The aim of the RPF is to leave no citizen behind.”
Outlining progress registered by the Government of Rwanda, under the leadership of President Paul Kagame and RPF-Inkotanyi for the past seven years, the Secretary General said:
"We have made significant progress in all the key areas: economy, social welfare, good governance and justice. The driving force behind the results we see is the determination and hard work of Rwandans, and of RPF-Inkotanyi’s commitment to Rwanda's transformation.”
“Our new manifesto seeks to consolidate achievements and fast-track economic development, further strengthen Rwanda’s justice and good governance systems alongside efforts to empower Rwandan citizens, so that we can all work together for a stable, prosperous and self-reliant nation.”
The Secretary General invited Rwandans to participate in RPF campaign rallies taking place in their communities, and exercise their right to vote on 4 August.
