On the evening of June 20, 2025, at the RPF-Inkotanyi Headquarters, Secretary General Amb. Wellars Gasamagera welcomed Hon. Hao Huijie, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Yan’an Municipal Committee, who was in Rwanda for a two-day visit.
During the bilateral meeting, two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, focusing on exchanges and cooperation in capacity building and the management of museums and cultural heritage.
At the occasion, Secretary General Amb. Gasamagera reaffirmed the RPF-Inkotanyi’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and forward-looking relationship with the Communist Party of China (CPC).
In turn, the leader of the visiting delegation, Hao Huijie, assured their commitment to bring the signed MoUs to fruition.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1971, Rwanda and China have built a strong relationship based on mutual respect and a shared vision for development.
In recent years, this partnership has deepened through increased collaboration and political understanding.
China has consistently supported Rwanda’s efforts in promoting national unity, adding to the cooperation in the development of sectors including agriculture, education, ICT, and infrastructure, among others.
